The American League Championship Series (ALCS) is a best-of-seven playoff series. This means it can have anywhere from 4 to 7 games, ending as soon as one team wins 4 games. The series is played in a 2–3–2 format, with Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 at the home of the team with home-field advantage, and Games 3, 4, and 5 at the other team's home field.
