Pandas, despite their cute and gentle appearance, can be dangerous, especially if they feel threatened or provoked. They have strong jaws with powerful bite force—up to twice that of a tiger—and sharp claws that can cause serious injury. While attacks on humans are rare, they have occurred, particularly in captivity or when a human invades their territory. Pandas are solitary animals with natural instincts to defend themselves, especially males competing for mates or when protecting their cubs. Although not naturally aggressive like some other bear species, pandas have the strength and tools to inflict harm when necessary, so caution is advised around them.
