In Assassin's Creed Shadows, during the mission "Darkness Falls," you must accuse one of three suspects—Joken Hokkyo, Tsutsui Junkei, or Akiyama Ayako—of being the Wise, a Shinbakufu member sabotaging peace talks. The correct and true culprit is the monk Joken Hokkyo. Accusing him reveals his identity when he catches a knife thrown by Yasuke, leading to a battle and his eventual chase and defeat. If you accuse either Tsutsui Junkei or Akiyama Ayako instead, the story quickly reveals the truth anyway: Kojiro intervenes and instructs Yasuke to throw the knife at Joken Hokkyo, exposing him as the real villain. There are no long-term consequences or different rewards for accusing the wrong person, but accusing Joken Hokkyo is the most natural and canonical choice. In canon mode, however, Yasuke initially accuses Junkei, but the outcome still leads to Hokkyo's exposure and defeat
