Initially, there was a claim that he was kidnapped, but investigators found no evidence of an abduction or that he was shot. Instead, it was reported that Caden left on a bicycle with camping gear he bought from Walmart. He was located safe in Williston on September 26, 2025, in good health. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are still under investigation.
