Dogs cannot be officially diagnosed with autism as it is a developmental disorder unique to humans. However, dogs can exhibit behaviors similar to autistic traits, often categorized under the term Canine Dysfunctional Behavior (CDB). While these behaviors resemble autism symptoms in humans, they are not the same condition, and veterinary medicine currently uses different diagnostic categories for such canine behaviors.
