Zohran Mamdani cannot legally run for U.S. president. The U.S. Constitution requires the president to be a natural-born citizen, at least 35 years old, and a resident within the United States for at least 14 years. Mamdani was born in Uganda in 1991 and only became a U.S. citizen through naturalization in 2018, which disqualifies him from presidential eligibility under Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution. He remains eligible for other offices, such as Congress or local positions, but not for the presidency.
