In Disco Elysium, to fast travel you first need to obtain the map of Martinaise from the bookstore near the Whirling-in-Rags hostel. You can either buy the map for 0.90 Reál or attempt to steal it if your Interfacing stat is high enough. Once you have the map, you can only fast travel from three specific locations: the Martinaise Waterfront (near Kim’s car), the Fisherman Shacks, and the Church. You must be standing in one of these exact locations when you open the map to see the “Travel Here” option to fast travel to any of the other two points. In summary:

• Get the map from the bookstore upstairs (buy or steal).
• Fast travel only unlocks after you acquire the map.
• You can fast travel only from these three points: Church, Fisherman Shacks, and Martinaise Waterfront.
• Stand in one of these areas, open the map, and select your destination with the "Travel Here" option.

This fast travel feature was introduced in the Final Cut version of the game to ease movement in Martinaise but is somewhat limited and requires being exactly at the designated points to use.
