Instagram does not notify users when someone takes a screenshot of their story highlights. The same applies to screenshots of regular stories, posts, reels, and other non-disappearing content on the platform. The only time Instagram notifies a user about a screenshot is when someone screenshots a disappearing photo or video sent in a direct message (DM), especially in Vanish Mode. Thus, taking a screenshot of an Instagram Highlight will not alert the owner.
