The Green Bay Packers originated in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They were founded in 1919 by Curly Lambeau and George Calhoun, with Lambeau securing sponsorship from the Indian Packing Company to cover uniforms and equipment, which led to the team being named the Packers. The club later joined what became the NFL, and they've played their home games at Lambeau Field since 1957.
