Anne Burrell, the beloved Food Network star and chef, died by suicide on June 17, 2025, at her home in Brooklyn, New York, at the age of 55. The New York City medical examiner ruled her death as suicide due to "acute intoxication resulting from the combined effects of diphenhydramine, ethanol (alcohol), cetirizine, and amphetamine." These substances include antihistamines, alcohol, and medication commonly used to treat ADHD. She was found unconscious and unresponsive surrounded by about 100 assorted pills. Emergency Medical Services pronounced her dead at the scene after a 911 call reported cardiac arrest.
