Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, died from complications related to a small bowel obstruction. The obstruction was caused by adhesions (scar tissue) that developed as a long-term complication from bariatric surgery (weight-loss surgery) she had undergone years earlier. She was found unresponsive at her home after complaining of abdominal pain and subsequently died at a hospital at the age of 54. The medical examiner ruled her death as natural causes with no evidence of foul play or contribution from medications she had in her system at the time.
