Lisa Marie Presley died of natural causes due to a small bowel obstruction caused by adhesions from bariatric (weight-loss) surgery she had undergone several years earlier. The obstruction led to cardiac arrest at her home, and she died later that day in a hospital at age 54. Toxicology reports found opioids in her system, but they were not a factor in her death.
