Lisa Marie Presley died from a small bowel obstruction caused by adhesions (scar tissue) that formed after bariatric (weight-loss) surgery she had undergone several years earlier. This complication led to a cardiac arrest from which she did not recover. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruled her death as natural causes, with no evidence of foul play. She was 54 years old at the time of her passing.
