Timothy West died in November 2024 at a care home where he was receiving palliative care after a fall earlier that year. The inquest, held in 2025, concluded his medical cause of death included a subdural haematoma and extra- axial haemorrhage with a traumatic brain injury; contributing factors included non-convulsive status epilepticus, aspiration pneumonia, and hypertension. He was 90 and had been surrounded by family at the time of death.
