To hide your friends list on Facebook so that others cannot see it, you can adjust your privacy settings either on the desktop site or the mobile app. Here are the steps for both:
On Desktop
- Log in to Facebook and click your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Select Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
- In the left menu, click Privacy.
- Find the setting Who can see your friends list? under the section "How people find and contact you."
- Click Edit on the right side.
- From the dropdown menu, choose Only Me to completely hide your friends list from everyone, or select another audience like Friends or Specific Friends if you want limited visibility.
- Save your changes.
On Mobile App
- Open the Facebook app and tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top right (Android) or bottom right (iOS).
- Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy, then tap Settings.
- Tap Profile Settings (your name and profile picture).
- Tap Privacy.
- Under "How people find and contact you," tap Who can see your friend list?
- Select Only Me to hide your friends list completely.
- Exit the settings to save changes.
By setting your friends list visibility to Only Me , only you will be able to see your friends on Facebook, keeping your connections private from others
. If you want to hide just the number of friends you have, this setting also controls that - others won’t see your friends count if the list is hidden from them
