To unhide an app depends on whether you are using an Android or an iPhone device. Here are the steps for both:
On Android
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to Home Screen or Apps/Applications depending on your device.
- Find and tap on the option labeled Hide apps on Home and Apps screens (or similar).
- At the top, you will see a section for Hidden apps showing all hidden apps.
- Tap the minus icon or uncheck the app you want to unhide.
- Tap Done to save the changes.
This will restore the app to your home screen or app drawer
On iPhone (iOS 18 and later)
- Swipe left on the Home Screen until you reach the App Library.
- Scroll down and tap on the Hidden folder.
- Authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
- Find the app you want to unhide, then long-press its icon.
- Select Don’t Require Face ID (or similar) from the menu.
- To add it back to the Home Screen, long-press the app again and choose Add to Home Screen.
This will unhide the app and restore it to your Home Screen
. These methods cover the native ways to unhide apps on both platforms, including the new iOS 18 feature for locked and hidden apps. If you use third- party launchers or apps, the process might differ slightly.
