• Online at AmericanIdol.com/Vote : Visit the official voting website, create a free account, sign in, select your favorite contestant, assign up to 10 votes, and save your choices. Voting registration is available for viewers 16 or older in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands

• Using the American Idol app : Download the official app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, create an account, sign in, go to the "Go to Vote Now" section, select your contestant, assign up to 10 votes, and save your vote

• By SMS text : Text the number corresponding to your favorite contestant to the short code "21523". The contestant numbers are displayed during the performances. Message and data rates may apply

You can vote up to 10 times per contestant per method each episode, allowing a total of 30 votes across all three methods. Voting typically opens at the end of the East Coast airing of the show and closes early the next morning
