To block your number when making a call, you have several options depending on whether you want to block it for a single call or permanently:

Block Your Number for a Single Call

• Dial *67 (on smartphones or landlines) before the phone number you want to call. This hides your number for that call only, showing up as "Private" or "Blocked" on the recipient's caller ID

• Alternatively, on some networks, you can dial #31# before the number to block your caller ID for that call

Block Your Number Permanently on Your Phone

• On iPhone:
  1. Go to Settings > Phone.
  2. Tap Show My Caller ID.
  3. Toggle it off to hide your number on all outgoing calls

• On Android:
  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Tap the menu (three dots), then Settings.
  3. Go to Calls > Additional settings > Caller ID.
  4. Select Hide number to block your number on all calls

Carrier-Level Blocking

• You can also contact your carrier and ask them to block your number on all outgoing calls. This is useful if your phone or settings do not support permanent blocking

Temporary Unblocking

• If your number is permanently blocked but you want to unblock it for a call, dial *82 (or * 31# on some networks) before the number to show your caller ID for that call

These methods allow you to control when and how your phone number is displayed to the people you call. Note that some recipients or carriers may automatically block calls from private numbers, so your call might not go through in those cases
