To borrow money from Cash App, follow these steps:
- Check Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, a frequent Cash App user, regularly deposit money into the app, have an active Cash Card, and live in a state where Cash App Borrow is available. The feature is not available to all users and is granted based on Cash App’s evaluation of your account activity and creditworthiness
- Access the Borrow Feature
Open the Cash App and navigate to the "Balance" or "Money" tab. Scroll down and look for the "Borrow" option. If you don’t see it, you may not be eligible yet
- Select Loan Amount
Tap on "Borrow" and choose the loan amount you want, typically between $20 and $200. The amount you can borrow depends on your account history and usage
- Review Loan Terms
Carefully read the loan details, including the flat fee (usually around 5%) and repayment terms. Loans must generally be repaid within four weeks to avoid additional finance charges
- Confirm Your Information
Enter your personal details such as your full Social Security number, Cash PIN, legal name, address, and date of birth to verify your identity
- Accept the Loan
After reviewing and accepting the terms and conditions, confirm your loan request. The borrowed funds will be deposited instantly into your Cash App balance for use
- Repayment
Repay the loan within four weeks to avoid finance charges. You can set up autopay or pay manually through the app
Additional Notes:
- The Borrow feature is granted automatically by Cash App based on your usage and account activity; you cannot request it directly
- If you do not qualify or need larger loans, alternative services like Low Credit Finance or payday loan providers may be considered
This process offers a quick and convenient way to access small loans directly within Cash App, provided you meet the eligibility criteria and maintain good repayment behavior.
