Jon Snow comes back to life in "Game of Thrones" thanks to resurrection magic performed by Melisandre, the Red Priestess of the Lord of Light. After Jon is stabbed to death by members of the Night's Watch, Melisandre uses her powers to bring him back to life in Season 6, Episode 2. The resurrection is linked to the Lord of Light's magic and Melisandre's belief that Jon is a chosen figure with a greater purpose to fulfill. His body was kept intact, and after initial failed attempts, Melisandre finally succeeds in reviving him, allowing Jon to breathe again and continue his role in the battle for the North and beyond.
