Marine One, the presidential helicopter, is transported primarily using large military transport planes such as the C-5 Galaxy or the C-17 Globemaster. Due to the size of the helicopter's rotors, they must be removed before transport and then reattached once the helicopter arrives at its destination. These transport planes carry not only the helicopter but also the president's limousine (known as "The Beast") and other essential equipment. The helicopters are flown to local airports or airbases ahead of the president's arrival to ensure immediate availability, and thorough inspections and preparations are done upon arrival to have Marine One ready for use. Multiple helicopters, including decoys, are transported together as part of security protocols.
