An extra point in the NFL is kicked from the 15-yard line. Adding 10 yards for the end zone and about 7 yards for the snap and hold, this makes the extra point kick essentially a 33-yard field goal attempt. This distance has been in place since 2015 when the NFL moved the line of scrimmage for extra points from the 2-yard line to the 15-yard line to make the kick more challenging and less automatic.
