Sean "Diddy" Combs has been in jail for nearly 13 months as of late September 2025. He was arrested on September 16, 2024, and has been held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since then, awaiting sentencing scheduled for October 3, 2025. He was convicted of two prostitution-related charges in July 2025 after a federal trial. His lawyers are arguing for a sentence of no more than 14 months total, which could allow for his release almost immediately due to time served. Prosecutors seek a longer sentence of roughly four to five years, but the judge has yet to decide.
