President Henry B. Eyring has been in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at different times since 2007. Specifically, he served as second counselor from October 6, 2007, to January 27, 2008; as first counselor to President Thomas S. Monson from 2008 until Monson's death on January 2, 2018; as counselor to President Russell M. Nelson from January 14, 2018, until Nelson's death on September 27, 2025; and was sustained and set apart again as First Counselor in the First Presidency on October 14, 2025.
