The AP Statistics exam is 3 hours long in total and is divided into two equal sections:
- Multiple-Choice Section: 40 questions to be completed in 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes). This section counts for 50% of the exam score.
- Free-Response Section: 6 questions (5 short-answer questions and 1 investigative task) to be completed in 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes). This section also counts for 50% of the exam score.
You are allowed to use a graphing calculator on the entire exam. The free- response answers are handwritten in a paper booklet, while the multiple-choice and viewing of free-response questions are done digitally in the Bluebook testing app
