The FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam is 6 hours long in total. This includes:

• A 2-minute nondisclosure agreement
• An 8-minute tutorial
• The actual exam time of 5 hours and 20 minutes, during which you answer 110 multiple-choice questions
• An optional scheduled break (usually 25 minutes) between two exam sessions

The exam is computer-based and split into two sessions of approximately 55 questions each. You can allocate your exam time between the two sessions as you prefer, but the total time for both sessions combined is 5 hours and 20 minutes
