Kittens have 26 baby teeth, also called deciduous or milk teeth. These include 12 incisors, 4 canines, and 10 premolars. Kittens do not have molars in their baby teeth set. These 26 baby teeth start to appear between 2 to 4 weeks of age and are usually all present by about 8 weeks old
. As kittens grow, they lose their baby teeth starting around 3 to 4 months of age, and by about 6 months old, they have their full set of 30 adult permanent teeth, which includes molars
