For adults and children 12 years and older, the recommended dosage of Pepto Bismol chewable tablets is:

• Take 2 tablets (1 dose) every 30 minutes as needed for upset stomach, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, or overindulgence.
• For diarrhea, you may take 2 tablets every 30 minutes or up to 4 tablets every hour as needed.
• Do not exceed 8 doses (16 tablets) in a 24-hour period.
• Use the medication until diarrhea stops but not for more than 2 days.
• Chew or dissolve the tablets in your mouth.

It is important to drink plenty of clear fluids to prevent dehydration when treating diarrhea. If symptoms worsen or last more than 2 days, or if you experience ringing in the ears or loss of hearing, stop use and consult a doctor
