A win in a Formula 1 race awards 25 points. Points are given to drivers finishing in the top 10 positions, with the winner receiving the most (25 points), second place 18 points, and third place 15 points, and then decreasing further down the positions. The current points system has been in place since 2010, and the extra point for the fastest lap was removed starting from the 2025 season.
