Eight teams make the WNBA playoffs. These teams are seeded based on their regular-season records regardless of conference. The playoff format includes three rounds: the First Round is a best-of-three series, the Semifinals are a best-of-five series, and starting in 2025, the WNBA Finals are a best-of-seven series. The top eight teams out of the league's 13 teams qualify for the postseason each year.
