The cost to renew a U.S. passport in 2025 is $130 for the passport book when renewing by mail or online. There is no execution (acceptance) fee included in the renewal fee if submitted by mail or online. For a passport card renewal, the fee is $30. Optional expedited processing and faster delivery incur additional fees ($60 expedite fee and $22.05 for 1-2 day delivery) if chosen. Standard USPS Priority Mail delivery is included in the renewal cost. Minors under 16 cannot renew by mail and must apply in person with different fees.
