Flonase nasal spray should be used as follows for adults: During the first week, use 2 sprays in each nostril once daily, preferably in the morning. From the second week up to three to six months, use 1 or 2 sprays in each nostril once daily as needed for symptom control. After about 3 to 6 months of daily use, consult a healthcare professional to determine if you should continue using it. It is important not to exceed 2 sprays in each nostril daily (total 200 mcg/day) as higher doses do not improve results. For children aged 4 to 11, use 1 spray in each nostril once daily under adult supervision, and children under 4 should not use Flonase. If you miss a dose, just use the regular dose the next day without doubling up. Regular daily use is needed for best effect, and symptom relief may take several days to appear.
