Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11, either in 1755 or 1757 (there is some historical uncertainty about the exact year). He died on July 12, 1804. Depending on which birth year is considered, Hamilton was either 47 or 49 years old when he died.

Hamilton died as a result of a duel with Aaron Burr in Weehawken, New Jersey.
