Most historians estimate that Jesus was born sometime between 6 BC and 4 BC, so in 2025 he would be a little over 2,000 years old, roughly in the range of about 2,028 to 2,031 years old depending on the exact year assumed.
Birth year estimates
Scholars use historical clues such as the reign and death of King Herod and references to Roman censuses to place Jesus’ birth a few years before the start of the traditional AD calendar, most often between 6 BC and 4 BC. Because the exact year is not known, any age calculation today is an approximation rather than a precise figure.
Calculating “age today”
Using those common birth-year estimates, a simple year count into 2025 gives a range of just over two millennia. For example, assuming a birth in 4 BC yields an age of about 2,029 years in 2025, while 6 BC would give about 2,031 years, and other proposed dates shift the number by a year or two.
