Mount Everest is officially measured to be approximately 8,848.86 meters (29,031.7 feet) tall as jointly declared by China and Nepal in 2020. This height includes the snow and ice at the summit. The rock height is slightly lower, around 8,844 meters (29,017 feet). The measurement takes into account advanced GPS technology and laser surveying methods used in recent surveys.
