The Twin Towers of the original World Trade Center complex were exceptionally tall skyscrapers:
- The North Tower (1 WTC) stood at 1,368 feet (417 meters) tall. Including its transmission antenna, the total height reached approximately 1,730 feet (527 meters)
- The South Tower (2 WTC) was slightly shorter at 1,362 feet (415 meters)
Both towers had 110 floors and were completed in 1973. They were among the tallest buildings in the world at the time and held the record as the tallest twin towers until 1996
