To allow pop-ups on an iPhone, the steps differ slightly depending on whether you use Safari (the default browser) or Chrome.
Allow Pop-Ups on Safari (iPhone)
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Safari.
- Under the General section, find Block Pop-ups.
- Toggle Block Pop-ups off (the switch should turn gray) to allow pop-ups.
- To see the effect, refresh the webpage where you expect the pop-up or close and reopen Safari
If you want to allow pop-ups only temporarily for a specific website, you can turn off Block Pop-ups while on that site and then turn it back on afterward to avoid unwanted pop-ups elsewhere
Allow Pop-Ups on Chrome (iPhone)
- Open the Chrome app.
- Tap the three dots menu icon in the bottom-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Content Settings or Site Settings.
- Find Block Pop-ups and toggle it off (the switch should turn gray) to allow pop-ups.
- Exit settings and refresh your browsing page to allow pop-ups
Remember to re-enable pop-up blocking when you no longer need pop-ups to avoid intrusive ads or unwanted windows
