To block your number when making a call, you have several options depending on whether you want to block it temporarily (per call) or permanently:

Temporary (Per-Call) Number Blocking

• Dial *67 (in the US and many other countries) before the phone number you want to call. This hides your number for that call only, showing up as "Private" or "Blocked" on the recipient's caller ID

• In some regions or with certain carriers, you can dial #31# before the number to achieve the same effect

Permanent Number Blocking on Smartphones

On iPhone:

• Go to Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID.
• Toggle off "Show My Caller ID" to hide your number on all outgoing calls

On Android:

• Open the Phone app.
• Tap the three dots (menu) > Settings > Calls > Additional settings > Caller ID.
• Select Hide number to block your number on all calls

Carrier Assistance

• You can contact your mobile carrier to request permanent blocking of your caller ID on outgoing calls

• Some carriers allow you to enable or disable caller ID blocking via special codes or account settings.

For Landlines or Home Phones

• Dial 1831 before the number you want to call to block your number on a per-call basis

Notes

• Some recipients or networks may automatically reject calls from blocked or private numbers.
• To unblock your number temporarily when it’s permanently blocked, you can dial *82 (US) or * 31# (depending on carrier) before the number
