Apple AirTags cannot be charged because they do not have a rechargeable battery. Instead, they use a replaceable CR2032 lithium 3V coin battery that typically lasts about a year. When the battery runs low, your iPhone will notify you, or you can check the battery status in the Find My app under the Items tab by selecting your AirTag

. How to replace the AirTag battery:

1. Press down on the polished stainless steel battery cover of the AirTag and rotate it counterclockwise until the cover stops turning.
2. Remove the cover and the old battery.
3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up. You will hear a sound indicating the battery is connected.
4. Align the three tabs on the cover with the three slots on the AirTag.
5. Rotate the cover clockwise until it stops and is securely closed

This process effectively "recharges" your AirTag by replacing the battery, as there is no way to recharge the battery itself
