To check the battery on your AirPods, you have several easy methods depending on your device and situation:

Using an iPhone or iPad

• Open the AirPods charging case lid with the AirPods inside.
• Hold the case close to your iPhone or iPad.
• After a few seconds, a battery status popup will appear on the screen showing the battery levels of each AirPod and the charging case

You can also check battery status via the Batteries widget on iPhone or iPad when your AirPods are connected

Using the AirPods Charging Case LED Light

• For standard charging cases, the LED light is inside the case between the AirPods.
• For wireless charging cases, the LED light is on the front of the case.
• Open the lid with AirPods inside; the LED light color indicates battery status:
  • Green means fully charged.
  • Amber means less than one full charge remains

Using a Mac

• Open the AirPods case or take the AirPods out.
• Click the Bluetooth icon or AirPods icon in the menu bar.
• A dropdown will show the remaining battery life for each AirPod (note: the case battery level is not shown on macOS)
