To clear WhatsApp storage on Android or iOS:

1. View Storage Go to WhatsApp Settings > Storage and data > Manage storage to see the amount of space WhatsApp uses on your device

2. Review and Delete Items Select a specific chat to review items. Sort by Newest , Oldest , or Largest. The file size appears in the top corner of the item

3. Delete Items
   • Delete All Items Tap Select All to delete all items at once

 * **Delete Individual Items** Tap and hold an item, select additional items, and tap **Delete**

 * You can also delete items through search by tapping **Photos** , **Videos** , or **Documents** , then selecting the item and tapping **Delete**

4. Additional Tips
   • Delete items that are large (over 5MB) or have been forwarded many times

 * Consider adjusting media upload quality in **Settings** > **Storage and Data** to use less space when sending photos and videos

 * Back up your chats to Google Account or iCloud before deleting content

 * Deactivate auto-download in **Settings** > **Storage and data** to prevent automatic file downloads, especially in groups
