To create a poll in WhatsApp, follow these steps:

1. Open the WhatsApp chat (group or individual) where you want to create the poll.
2. Tap the attachment icon (paperclip on Android or plus symbol on iPhone).
3. Select Poll from the menu.
4. Enter your poll question (up to 255 characters).
5. Add the poll options (you can add up to 12 options).
6. By default, users can select multiple answers. To restrict voting to only one option, turn off the Allow multiple answers toggle.
7. Once ready, tap Send to post the poll in the chat.
