Methods to Make an Unknown Caller or Private Call
- *Dial 67 before the phone number : This is a widely used method in the US. Simply dial *67 followed by the area code and phone number you want to call. The recipient will see "Private Number" or "Unknown Caller" instead of your number. This works on both landlines and mobile phones but must be done for each call you want to make private
- Disable Caller ID in your phone settings :
- On iPhone : Go to Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID, then toggle it off. Your calls will show as "No Caller ID" or "Unknown"

Notes and Considerations
- The *67 or similar codes hide your number only for that call; they do not permanently block your caller ID.
