To draw on Google Docs, follow these steps:
- Open your Google Docs document or create a new one.
- Place the cursor where you want the drawing to appear.
- Click on the Insert menu in the top toolbar.
- Select Drawing and then click + New. This opens a drawing canvas.
- In the drawing canvas, use the toolbar to create your drawing:
- Use the Line tool for straight lines, arrows, curves, or scribbles (freehand drawing).
- Use the Shape tool to add shapes like rectangles, circles, etc.
- Add text boxes or word art if needed.
- Customize colors, line thickness, and styles as desired.
- Once finished, click Save and Close. The drawing will be inserted into your document.
- You can move or resize the drawing within the document by clicking on it.
If you want to edit the drawing later, click on it and select Edit to reopen the drawing canvas. Alternatively, you can create drawings in Google Drawings (a separate app) and then insert them into your Google Docs by using Insert > Drawing > From Drive to select an existing drawing
. Note that Google Docs drawing tools work best on desktop browsers and do not support freehand pen input on tablets directly within Docs, but you can create drawings on other apps and insert them
