How to Hide Your Following List on Instagram

Instagram does not provide a direct feature to completely hide your "Following" list from others. However, there are some workarounds and privacy settings you can use to limit who can see your following list:

1. Make Your Account Private

• When your account is private, only your approved followers can see your following list.
• To do this:
  1. Open Instagram and go to your profile.
  2. Tap the menu (three lines) in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings & privacy.
  4. Tap Account privacy.
  5. Toggle on Private Account.

2. Remove Unwanted Followers

• If you want to restrict specific people from seeing your following list, remove them from your followers.
• To remove a follower:
  1. Go to your profile.
  2. Tap Followers.
  3. Find the follower you want to remove and tap Remove next to their name.

3. Block Specific Users

• Blocking someone prevents them from seeing your profile, posts, stories, and following list.
• To block:
  1. Go to the user’s profile.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Block.

4. Limit Who Sees Your Activity (Optional)

• While this doesn’t hide your following list, you can limit who sees your activity status.
• Go to Settings & privacy > Activity status and toggle off Show Activity Status.

Important Notes:

• Your followers can always see your following list unless your account is private and they are not following you.
• Instagram does not allow hiding the following list from your followers if your account is public.
