To hide tagged photos on Instagram, follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app and go to your profile by tapping your profile icon at the bottom right.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) at the top right corner.
- Select "Your Activity" or go to "Settings and Privacy" then "Tags and Mentions" (depending on app version).
- Tap "Tags" or "Review Tags" to see all photos you're tagged in.
- Select the photos you want to hide by tapping "Select" or individually opening a photo.
- For each photo, tap your tagged name or the three dots, then choose "Hide from My Profile."
This will remove the tagged photo from appearing in your profile's tagged photos section, though the tag remains on the original post and others can still see it there. You can also remove yourself from the tag entirely by selecting "Remove me from the post," but this action is permanent unless the person tags you again
. To hide multiple tagged photos at once:
- Go to your profile, tap the three lines, then "Your Activity."
- Tap "Tags," then "Select."
- Choose multiple photos and tap "Hide."
You can reverse hiding by going back to the post and selecting "Show on My Profile"
