To join the Crimson Fleet in Starfield, there are two main ways:
- The quickest way is to get caught stealing, carrying contraband, or committing illegal activities in United Colonies (UC) controlled space. When arrested, you will be taken to a UC ship and given the option to go undercover and infiltrate the Crimson Fleet, officially joining them after completing required missions.
- The legal way involves joining the UC Vanguard faction first. After completing its initial missions, you'll receive the 'Deep Cover' mission which sends you undercover to infiltrate the Crimson Fleet. Once you complete the mission 'Rook Meets King' and talk to Delgado, you become a member.
The Crimson Fleet faction is a group of space pirates based in the Kryx System on their station called The Key. Joining them opens up unique missions and access to special vendors with unique items. Some players prefer to get arrested and refuse the initial offer to go undercover for a quicker and more straightforward pirate playthrough. In summary, either get arrested for crimes in UC space or join UC Vanguard and go undercover to infiltrate and join the Crimson Fleet officially.
