To leave a class in Google Classroom as a student, follow these steps:
- Go to the Google Classroom homepage at classroom.google.com or open the Google Classroom app.
- Find the class you want to leave from your list of enrolled classes.
- Click or tap the three vertical dots (menu) on the class card or at the top right corner of the class page.
- Select "Unenroll" or "Leave class" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm your choice by clicking or tapping "Unenroll" or "Leave."
After this, the class will no longer appear in your Google Classroom dashboard, but any files you had from the class will remain stored in a folder called "Classroom" in your Google Drive
. Note: If the class is archived, you cannot unenroll yourself; you will need to ask your teacher to unarchive the class first so you can leave it
. Also, some schools may restrict students from leaving classes on their own, in which case you would need to contact your teacher to be removed
