To print a Microsoft Word document without comments, follow these straightforward steps:
- Open your Word document.
- Go to the File tab and select Print to open the print settings.
- In the print settings area, locate the dropdown menu labeled Print All Pages or similar.
- Click this dropdown and look for the option Print Markup.
- Uncheck or disable Print Markup. This action hides all comments and tracked changes from the printout.
- Review the print preview to confirm comments are no longer visible.
- Click Print to print your document without comments.
Alternatively, you can also hide comments before printing by going to the Review tab, clicking Show Markup , and unchecking Comments. Then print normally. This method hides comments from view and print but keeps them in the document
. If you want to permanently remove comments before printing, you can delete all comments via Review > Delete > Delete All Comments in Document, but this removes them from the document itself
. Using the print settings to uncheck "Print Markup" is the simplest way to print without comments while keeping them in your file. This ensures a clean, professional-looking printed document free of distracting annotations
