To refill a typical liquid hand soap dispenser:
- Twist the pump top counterclockwise and pull it off the bottle.
- If needed, rinse the bottle with warm water and let it drain so old, hardened soap doesn’t clog the pump.
- Using a refill bottle (or a small funnel), slowly pour liquid hand soap into the bottle, stopping about 1–2 cm below the top so it doesn’t overflow.
- Screw the pump back on clockwise until snug.
- Press the pump several times to “prime” it until soap starts coming out.
For a foaming soap dispenser, fill it mostly with water and then add a small amount of liquid soap (about 1 part soap to 4 parts water), put the pump back on, shake gently, and then pump until foam appears.
